"Learning is the discovery that something is possible" -Fritz Perls
Gestalt is based on the idea we experience things as unified wholes. It began in Germany and Austria during the late 19th century in response to the molecular approach of structuralism. Gestalt psychologist believed that you must look at the whole experience because the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. How I can compare myself to Gestalt Psychology is when I would go on a family trip let’s say to Disneyland we are all happy, everyone’s smiling, and everyone is having a good time I say that because I looked at the whole experience not the little things that might have happened like when my feet were hurting so bad I didn’t want to walk. Even though my feet was hurting I don’t share that when people ask how it was because I didn’t care about that what I cared about how my feet were hurting and how I was so tired I thought about the whole experience and how I had fun with my family and it was great bonding for all of us.
